Active Regeneration

Active Regeneration principles create the necessary heat energy for the regeneration. Either with a diesel burner (MK-system), diesel injection (MD-system) or by transforming electrical energy into heat (ME-system and W-system). The big advantage of the active regeneration is the independency of the exhaust gas temperature. An additional blower unit is taking care of providing enough oxygen for the soot burning process. That is why it is impossible to create secondary emissions while regenerating the filter. Due to the reason that it is technically high sophisticated to heat up the exhaust volume during operation mode of the engine, these systems work while the engine is shut-down. In order to balance this disadvantage, we have tried to enhance the soot loading capacity and to minimize the regeneration period. The results of our efforts are remarkable. The soot loading capacity is between 8-10 working hours. The regeneration of the smallest filter takes 5 minutes, the regeneration of the biggest one 35 minutes. The driver of the vehicle has no limitations in using the machine during a normal working day. The regeneration can be done comfortably during a break or a technical inspection of the machine.
