MD-System
Function principle
The modular designed MD-system is integrated in the exhaust piping of the vehicle, most of the times in place of the original muffler. The filter medium is made of Silicium Carbid (SiC), a high-tech ceramic. The filter is able to load the harmful diesel particles out of the exhaust. The regeneration of the filter takes place while driving mode, after a certain soot load is reached in the filter and a minimum exhaust gas temperature exists. The entire process is supervised by the HUSS ECU control device.
